Ayer por la tarde Leonardo Ponzio, un emblema, referente e ídolo de River, presentó en una conferencia de prensa junto a Jorge Brito su partido de despedida que tendrá lugar ni más ni menos que en el Estadio Mâs Monumental, el patio de su casa, donde supo jugar más de 150 partidos. El evento se llevará a cabo el próximo 21 de septiembre y tendrá la presencia de los jugadores campeones de la Copa Libertadores 2015 y 2018, además de algunos ex jugadores del club, sumados a otros ex futbolistas como Maximiliano Rodríguez y Gabriel Heinze, entre otros.
Hace diez años, el León decía en una entrevista: “Cirigliano es un crack. Estoy jugando con el futuro 5 de la selección”. Ayer por la tarde, el capitán e ídolo del Más Grande presentó su partido de despedida a jugarse en la casa de River y Ezequiel Cirigliano se encuentra detenido por “portación ilegal de arma de guerra” y “violación de domicilio”, según informó la Estación de Policía Departamental de Tres de Febrero.
En la conferencia de prensa, Ponzio habló sobre la situación que está viviendo el ex mediocampista del Más Grande: “Yo decía que Cirigliano tenía futuro de Selección”, expresó recordando la declaración que dijo en una entrevista con Radio Continental.
“Creo que la familia es el sostén y es importantísimo. Habría que volver atrás y ver lo que sucedió para que desencadenara esto”, agregó Leo.
Por último, el jugador más ganador en la historia de River Plate con 17 títulos le expresó todo su apoyo a Cirigliano y a toda su familia: “Me da…no quiero decir lástima, pero si en algún momento tengo la posibilidad de encontrarlo, quisiera escucharlo y acompañarlo”.
Además de Ponzio, el club también se puso a disposición de él y de su familia para ayudarlo en este duro momento. Entre otras cosas, le ofrecieron un abogado, según informó el periodista Maximiliano Grillo.
