Necesitas tiempo para trabajar. Todavía teníamos que entender hacia dónde nos dirigíamos, pero había entusiasmo y determinación para construir algo que nos hiciera felices”.
“Necesitábamos una visión diferente. Tuvimos que reforzar la estructura del club en línea con lo que se necesita para un club que desarrolla jugadores: más estructura, más organización. No quiero decir que esas cosas no existieran ya, pero teníamos que mejorar las cosas, darles un empujón”, señaló.
Por último, comentó: “En River fluctuamos mucho a lo largo de los años: cambiamos y nos expresamos tácticamente de diferentes maneras. Pero la idea y esa determinación nunca cambiaron. La ejecución de la idea pudo haber sido mejor o peor, pero el objetivo seguía siendo el mismo”.
