Ayer por la noche el Monumental abrió sus puertas, pero no para un partido del fútbol profesional ni para la Reserva, sino que para ver nada más ni nada menos que al fútbol senior +35 del club, que salió campeón la semana pasada y festejó con los miles de hinchas presentes el título obtenido.
Allí, Martín Demichelis, entrenador del Más Grande, estuvo presente y explicó porque decidió estar en el partido, a pesar de tener tres días libres junto al plantel: “Estoy acá por una simple razón: River es familia”. El oriundo de Justiniano Posse fue muy criticado en las últimas semanas y hasta se lo puso en duda de cara al futuro en 2024. Ante esta situación, Jorge Brito, presidente de la institución, habló con la transmisión en el entretiempo del partido y contestó acerca del futuro y la continuidad de Demichelis: “Es una locura poner en duda a un técnico que es campeón. Le tocó agarrar River en un momento muy difícil. Siempre hay cosas para mejorar, no hay ninguna duda y trabajamos en eso”.
Y finalizó llenando de elogios a Micho y dándole tranquilidad a los hinchas: “Martín es un gran profesional, una persona muy humilde y eso es lo que nos hace creer que es un excelente técnico y va a ser aún mejor. Estamos trabajando muy unidos para que River siga estando cada vez mejor”. Lo cierto es que Demichelis salió campeón de la Liga Profesional tres fechas antes y con 11 puntos de ventaja sobre el segundo, ganó los dos Superclásicos del año y está puntero en la Copa de la Liga.
