Daniel “Gato” Oldrá, ex River y actual DT de Godoy Cruz, lleva un gran presente en el Tomba, siendo uno de los mejores clubes del fútbol argentino por su trabajo de hoy en día con el club.
Debido a su gran evolución, en ESPN le preguntaron si dirigiría el Millonario y él contundente afirmó: “Le diría que no porque es un club muy grande para mí. Hay que estar no capacitado, súpercapacitado para dirigir a un equipo de esa característica, y más en Argentina. Si estoy bien acá, es muy difícil sinceramente que me quiera ir”.
Además, reveló que quiere quedarse donde está: “Tengo una vida constituida. Ojo que por ahí en algún momento me dirán: ‘Gato, hay que correrse de acá porque viene gente a Godoy Cruz más capacitada’. Ahí uno verá que puede llegar a hacer. Pero mientras el club me dé un lugar, es difícil que quiera irme por más que sean River o Boca“.
Por último, rememoró su paso como jugador de River, en el que sumó 11 partidos y un título local. “Passarella era mi ídolo, jugaba de 6. A mí me tocó jugar de 3 al lado de él y fue un sueño. También estuve con el Checho Batista, el Pipa Higuaín, Balbo, Batistuta, el Polilla Da Silva, el Negro Enrique, el Loco Enrique, Serrizuela. Pensé que nunca iba a jugar en River“.
