A los hinchas de River no les sorprende el nivel de Julián Álvarez, al contrario, ya sabían lo bueno que era y creían que podía demostrar mucho más, pero nunca se pensó que ese “mucho más” iba a ser marcar, por ahora, cuatro goles en su primer Mundial y ser titular indiscutido de la Selección Argentina. Dos goles magníficos le convirtió ayer a la dura Croacia de Luka Módric para comandar la victoria y el pase a la final junto al mejor jugador de la historia, Lionel Messi.
Un primer gol que rompió una estadística increíble mantenida por Diego Armando Maradona desde el Mundial de México 1986. La Araña se convirtió en el segundo argentino en marcar un gol en una Copa del Mundo iniciando la jugada con pelota dominada en su propia cancha y sin dar ningún pase. Una genialidad de uno de los dos mejores jugadores en la historia de Argentina y de la joya salida de River que la está rompiendo en la Albiceleste.
Ese gol rompe récords no podía no llevar un relato histórico, y quién mejor que Mariano Closs para que porte esa voz al golazo. Desde el lugar de los hechos, Closs volvió a dejarnos un relato para la historia con otro ex River como protagonista. Esta vez no es ni el Pity Martínez ni Juan Fernando Quintero, si no que es el segundo máximo goleador de la Era Gallardo en el segundo gol de Argentina en una semifinal de un Mundial: “Bien por Álvarez, arranca el pibe, y galope y galope que se viene el segundo, ahí va el pibe, ahí va el pibe ahi va el pibe, ahí va, gooooool“.
