Durísima derrota ante Talleres. Un golpe de agua fría en un muy mal partido del equipo que nunca supo jugar el encuentro que necesitaba jugar. Muchos huecos en defensa, sobre todo por el sector de Pinola y Martínez, el sector izquierdo, imprecisiones en los pases y sin lograr lastimar en los últimos tres cuartos de cancha.
El próximo rival será Patronato el próximo miércoles 28 de septiembre en La Rioja por los cuartos de final de la Copa Argentina. Un partido sumamente importante para seguir con vida en el torneo más federal del país que, en caso de ganarlo, te asegura un boleto en la próxima Copa Libertadores 2023, torneo que actualmente River tiene complicada su clasificación.
El Patrón, que se encuentra en la decimo primera posición del campeonato local argentino, llega al partido con el Más Grande con una derrota en el hombro ante Defensa y Justicia por 2 a 1. Un torneo irregular para los dirigidos por Facundo Sava que acumulan un récord de 7 victorias, 7 empates y 7 derrotas. El partido contra Patronato cambió de horario y pasó de disputarse a las 17, a jugarse finalmente a las 19, dos horas más tarde.
