A una semana del durísimo hecho que se vivió el pasado sábado 3 de junio en el estadio Mâs Monumental en el medio del partido entre River y Defensa y Justicia. A las 16.55 y por la fecha 19 de la Liga Profesional de Fútbol 2023, en Núñez sucedió un momento lamentable debido al fallecimiento de Pablo Marcelo Serrano, un hincha de 53 años que se cayó de la tribuna Sívori Alta a la Sívori Baja. Un suceso que quedará marcado en la memoria de los hinchas de River y cada una de las personas que estuvieron presentes en el Antonio Vespucio Liberti esta tarde gris.
El momento trágico ocurrió cuando se jugaba el primer tiempo del partido. La caída provocó el dolor de los hinchas que estaban allí presentes en la histórica popular Sívori, que inmediatamente le pidieron al árbitro que pare el encuentro con un gesto de manos y la canción “Para el partido la p… que te parió”. El árbitro Fernando Rapallini lo paró al instante, pero ante el aviso de los directivos de la Liga de que siga el encuentro porque todavía no le habían notificado que sucedió exactamente con el hincha, el juez lo reanudó. Una reanudación que no duró mucho tiempo porque a los pocos minutos volvió a para el partido, llamó a ambos capitanes del partido (Franco Armani y Ezequiel Unsain) para informarles que iba a suspender el encuentro por el confirmado fallecimiento del hincha.
Hoy, tras siete días, clausuras de la tribuna y un encuentro vital en el medio ante Fluminense por la fecha 5 del grupo D de la Copa Conmebol Libertadores, se determinó en que fecha y horario se jugarán los 64 minutos restantes del encuentro que, durante ese sábado, pasaron a segundo plano en un momento muy duro. El Millonario volverá a recibir al Halcón de Varela el próximo sábado 17 de junio, a partir de las 21 horas, para finalizar el encuentro. Se hará en dos tiempos de 32 minutos con un entretiempo en el medio.
