En una semana clave en el Mercado de Pases de cara al cierre de la lista de la buena fe de la Copa Libertadores el sábado 25 de junio, a las 18.00 hora Paraguay (donde se ubica la sede Conmebol), el Millonario está negociando en varios frentes por delanteros que puedan darle jerarquía al plantel como es el caso de Luis Suárez o Miguel Borja. Además, el Más Grande también buscaría cerrar otro delantero con proyección y mayor juventud que los futbolistas que jerarquicen al plantel como sería Diego Valoyes, Nahuel Bustos y Matías Arezo.
Por eso desde las instalaciones del River Camp y de las oficinas de la Comisión Directiva en el Estadio Mâs Monumental, esperarán hasta último momento al Pistolero pero al mismo tiempo tratarán de apurarlo y cerrar el contrato lo ante posible ya que el uruguayo ocupa plaza de extranjeros (Actualmente hay cuatro extranjeros en el plantel -Rojas, Díaz, Martínez y De La Cruz-, puede haber un máximo de seis y cinco pueden firmar planilla).
El uruguayo ex Barcelona le habría pedido a Jorge Brito, Enzo Francescoli y Marcelo Gallardo que le den 10 días para pensar la oferta que el club puso sobre la mesa. Según el diario francés L’Équipe, el club de Nuñez sería, hasta el momento, el único que le hizo una oferta formal.
Pero en las últimas horas salió en la tapa del diario italiano “La Gazzeta dello Sport” un título que decía que la Juventus analizaría y pondría en “examen” la oferta de ofrecimiento del ex atacante del Atlético Madrid para formar parte del equipo donde jugó Cristiano Ronaldo. La Vecchia Signora en enero adquirió el pase del jugador de 22 años Dusan Vlahovic en 81,6 millones de euros, además de que en el plantel ya cuentan con Alvaro Morata y Moise Kean como “9”.
Lo cierto es que no hay nada confirmado sobre el ofrecimiento y tampoco hay noticias de que el futbolista de 35 años vaya a destino italiano. También, ni bien se supo la noticia de que se iría libre del equipo de Diego Simeone, varios equipos de Europa como Fiorentina, Lazio y Atalanta, de la Serie A, Real Sociedad de España, o varios clubes de Alemania, Turquía y de la MLS estadounidense habrían intentado seducir al delantero de la Selección de Uruguay.
