Es un bálsamo dentro de esa vorágine en la que vive River. Y, clarito, el francés ya tiró adonde apunta. “El objetivo es el de todos. La optica es clara: la de volver a llevar a River a los primeros puestos”.
En la conferencia de prensa que dio luego del entrenamiento, en el auditorio del club, se le preguntó por la chance de ser el capitán. “Sería un honor, como lo es para cualquiera de mis compañeros. Si no me toca usarla, a nivel imágen me siento importante dentro de este grupo. Hay que trabajar con profesionalismo dentro de este grupo de jugadores nuevos, hay muchas expectativas y ganas de hacer las cosas. Todos unidos podemos hacer algo importante por esta camiseta”. También se refirió a las salidas de Alejandro Domínguez y Fernando Cavenaghi. “Los conocí y lo que hicieron ellos fue fundamental en el ascenso de River. Como hincha les estoy agradecido, lo que pasó después fue parte del staff técnico. Estamos al margen de esa decisión. ¿Si hablé con ellos? No tuve ningún tipo de contacto con Cave y Chori”, cerró el tema.
Se sabe: Domínguez y Cavenaghi nunca tuvieron un 100 por ciento de piel, pero se terminaron respetando con el francés. El que sí es amigo de Trezeguet es Mauro Camoranesi. Compañero en la Juventus, el hoy futbolista de Lanús anda con ganas de ponerse la Banda. “Con Mauro hemos hablado muchísimo sobre el Mundo River porque me ha preguntado muchísimo. Él es hincha de River o sea que podría ser un jugador importante para nosotros. Es un jugador mundialmente conocido que ha demostrado tener una calidad más elevada que la normal, podría sumar más a este equipo y podría ser una experiencia muy positiva para él”. Aunque aclaró: “Yo no influyo en Camoranesi, yo estoy en River para jugar al fútbol no para comprar jugadores ni dar información de ningún jugador”.
A sus 34 años, Trezeguet disfruta como pocos de su estadía en River. No lo marean la gloria y el dinero. “Estoy con muchas ganas de empezar. El lunes y ayer me empecé a entrenar para estar al máximo. No hay que olvidarse que River tiene un plantel joven y tenemos un staff técnico que sabe todos los consejos que nos tienen que dar, pero ya sabemos lo que es. Quiero disfrutar este momento, conocer el grupo nuevamente y creo que podemos lograr el campeonato”.
Sin dudas, habló como un capitán.
