Luego de la paridad ante Tigre por 1-1 en la decimo sexta fecha de la Liga Profesional de Fútbol, el conjunto de Marcelo Gallardo ya piensa en su próximo rival: Defensa y Justicia. Los comandados por Sebastián Beccacece se enfrentarán al Millonario por los octavos de final de la Copa Argentina en el estadio Centenario de Chaco y desde AFA dieron a conocer la terna arbitral que tratará de impartir justicia el próximo miércoles a partir de las 21:30 horas.
El Muñeco tendrá a casi todos sus jugadores disponibles para el partido ante el Halcón de Varela a excepción de tres futbolistas: Robert Rojas, Felipe Peña Biafore y Héctor David Martínez, este último debido a que tiene que cumplir una fecha de suspensión tras la expulsión que sufrió en el último partido de este certamen ante Barracas Central, en San Luis, por los dieciseisavos de final. Ese encuentro lo ganó River por 3-0 con goles de Milton Casco y Agustín Palavecino por duplicado.
La terna arbitral para el encuentro entre River y Defensa y Justicia:
Pablo Echavarría fue designado como el árbitro principal del partido y estará acompañado por Facundo Rodríguez (asistente 1) y José Castelli (asistente 2). El cuarto árbitro será Guillermo González. Cabe destacar que en la Copa Argentina no se utiliza el VAR, como sí ocurre en la Liga Profesional de Fútbol.
