Desde aquel grito de Mariano Pavone contra Racing del 30 de abril de 2011 pasaron no solo casi dos años sino además un sinfín de frustraciones en los clásicos. Y toda esa gente que se ve en la foto se fue delirando otra vez de Avellaneda.
Antes del descenso, River perdió con Boca (2-0) y empató con San Lorenzo (1-1). Luego, en el regreso a Primera tampoco pudo festejar. Igualó con el Ciclón (0-0), cayó con Racing (1-0), empató en el Superclásico (2-2) y también con Independiente (2-2). En este torneo sufrió un duro revés al caer con el Cuervo por 2 a 0.
Por fin se cortó la racha. Y otra vez en Avellaneda.
