Desde hace un tiempo, River se encuentra sondeando a ex futbolistas que dejaron una huella en la casa o que en alguna otra oportunidad confesaron su deseo de regresar a Núñez, uno de esos casos es Manuel Lanzini que en varios mercados de pases se habló de su regreso.
Tras debutar e irse cedido, el volante se transformó en una garantía para el equipo de Ramón Díaz que terminaría conquistando el Torneo Local. Luego sería dirigido en un solo partido por Marcelo Gallardo ya que sería vendido al Al-Jazira y en 2015 daría el salto al West Ham, donde se mantiene en la actualidad.
Hace poco más de un mes, tras ganar la Conference League, Lanzini se refirió al interés de River de cerrar su regreso: “Se que se habla mucho de River, dejame disfrutar ahora. Todavía no pensé nada de mi futuro, la verdad es esa. Ahora voy a descansar, a disfrutar, estar con la familia y ver que pasa en el futuro”.
“Obvio que uno siempre vuelve a donde fue feliz, la verdad que todavía no se que es lo que voy a hacer. Tampoco le quiero dar esperanzas a River, espero que sea lo mejor. Ahora primero a disfrutar”, concluyó explicando que sueña con volver pero mostrando que por el momento es cauto.

River sigue manteniendo el sueño del regreso de Manu Lanzini en este mercado de pases, a quien considerarían un refuerzo de jerarquía para pelear la Libertadores. El deseo está más vigente que nunca y no se pierde la ilusión, la decisión final la tiene el futbolista. El Más Grande lo esperará un tiempo más.
