La posibilidad de River y un 2023 con Marcelo Gallardo cada día se vuelve más posible. Luego de que salieran los rumores el fin de semana de que el DT, quien finaliza su vinculo con River el 31 de diciembre de 2022, tendría casi decidida su continuación al mando del Más Grande por un simple factor, una pretemporada larga divida en dos (San Martin de Los Andes en diciembre y Miami en enero de 2023), el Muñeco volvió a hablar luego de casi dos semanas, esta vez ante un grupo selecto de personas y no ante las cámaras en una conferencia de prensa.
El Muñeco, quién no habló en conferencia de prensa en los últimos dos partidos, agarró ayer el micrófono en la novena cena anual solidaria hecha por la “Fundación River Plate” e hizo un análisis del 2022 de River junto a un pedido para los hinchas: “No estamos en una época tal vez de festejo, donde generalmente nos encuentra en un momento de euforia, o por ir hacia el lugar que todos deseamos que es la consagración, y eso tiene más valor, sobre todo porque ustedes estén acá y sigan acompañando“.
Por último y para cerrar, el director técnico más ganador de la historia de River reflexionó y dejó un mensaje esperanzador de cara al futuro: “A nosotros desde este lugar también nos deja una enseñanza. No encontrar el éxito deseado me deja un aprendizaje y es mucho más importante que cuando estamos en la vorágine del éxito. Y yo aprendí mucho este año, en los errores y en las equivocaciones. Eso me hace todavía una persona con más deseo de aprender“.
