A partir de las 21:30 horas del miércoles, River recibirá a Estudiantes de La Plata por la vigésima tercera fecha de la Liga Profesional de Fútbol en busca de estirar la ventaja en la tabla anual y volver a conseguir tres puntos valiosísimos. Por un lado está el Millonario, que a pesar de haber quedado afuera de la Copa Argentina de manera impresionante ante Patronato en los cuartos de final, supo reivindicarse rápidamente y golear a Argentinos Juniors en el estadio Búmeran Diego Armando Maradona por 3-0.
Y por el otro está el Pincharrata que viene de perder a su director técnico, Ricardo Zielinski, y de caer duramente ante Colón 4-1 en el estadio UNO Jorge Luis Hirschi. Una derrota dolorosa que lo aleja del último cupo de la tabla anual, justamente conseguido, por ahora, por su clásico rival, Gimansia de La Plata. Además, los tres puntos lo acomodaron en la quinta posición de la tabla anual (Copa de la Liga + Liga Profesional de Fútbol) y a tres puntos de River.
El Millonario no podrá contar con todos sus soldados para mañana porque de los tres lesionados que ya se sabían (Felipe Peña Biafore, Robert Rojas y Rodrigo Aliendro), se sumaron dos jugadores titulares del plantel que actualmente están descartados para el partido pero que serán evaluados y esperados hasta último momento. Y se tratan de ni más ni menos que Nicolás De La Cruz y Santiago Simón, dos jugadores importantes para Gallardo dentro del 11 titular que no formaron parta del banco suplentes del último encuentro.
El panorama de los lesionados en River:
Santiago Simón: Tiene un esguince en el tobillo derecho desde el encuentro ante San Lorenzo, donde una torcedura lo obligó a salir del césped del Nuevo Gasómetro en el comienzo del segundo tiempo. Se recuperó para el partido ante Talleres en el estadio Mâs Monumental pero se volvió a resentir, por lo que desde ese entonces no disputa un partido (ya pasaron dos encuentros). No estará presente en el partido de mañana debido a que no fue convocado.
Nicolás De La Cruz: Volvió de la fecha FIFA con dolores en la rodilla derecha y, a pesar de que fue convocado para el partido ante Argentinos Juniors, se quedó afuera del banco de suplentes (iba a ser titular) por dolores en esa zona. Ayer entrenó diferenciado, pero fue convocado para el partido de mañana miércoles 5 de octubre ante Estudiantes porque confían desde el cuerpo técnico que se pondrá a punto.
Robert Rojas: Fue intervenido quirúrgicamente hace un mes luego de que sintiera dolor en la zona operada el pasado 9 de abril (tibia y peroné). En la operación le sustrajeron los cerrojos y esperan nuevamente a que se recupere, aunque el jugador recién volvería a las canchas a principios del próximo año. Hay una mínima posibilidad de que dispute las últimas fechas de la Liga Profesional de Fútbol en el torneo de Reserva.
Rodrigo Aliendro: Sufrió la fractura de macizo facial y el hundimiento del malar derecho con compromiso de la órbita en el segundo tiempo del Superclásico ante Boca en la Bombonera el domingo 11 de septiembre. Ya comenzó a entrenar nuevamente, aunque todo de manera diferenciada porque no puede hacer nada de contacto con sus compañeros.
Felipe Peña Biafore: Sufrió un edema óseo en la rodilla izquierda hace dos meses que no le permite hacer nada de impacto ni entrenar a la par del grupo. No tiene fecha de regreso a las canchas debido a que es un moretón en el hueso de la rodilla y que al tener impacto le duele y es posible que se le pueda agravar la lesión.
