La distancia con la cima de las posiciones se redujo. River quedó a tres puntos de Newell’s, las ilusiones se multiplicaron y Ramón, un experimentado en estos menesteres, no esquivó el compromiso: “Todos queremos salir campeones. Es lógico. Estamos trabajando para eso, estamos entusiasmados, hemos encontrado solides en varios sectores y daremos pelea hasta el final”, destacó.
De lleno en la recta final del campeonato, a sólo seis fechas de una definición, el entrenador dio detalles de lo que se viene. “Entramos en la parte del torneo en que hay que ir a buscar todos los partidos, sabemos que no podemos cometer errores. Los jugadores saben lo que significa esta camiseta y están tomando con gran responsabilidad el momento que estamo viviendo, no tengo dudas que vamos a estar prendidos hasta el final”, analizó y agregó: “Estamos muy concentrados y mentalizados en conseguir todos los puntos”.
En cuanto al equipo que visitará a Unión, el riojano dio dos pistas: Bottinelli sería el segundo marcador central, en reemplazo de Alvarez Balanta, y Rogelio Funes Mori seguiría en el equipo titular. Sobre el primer caso, sin dar nombres, resaltó: “Para mí, es importante que de la parte izquierda de la defensa juegue un zurdo, por el manejo. Pero queremos entrenar, trabajar y tenemos toda la semana para prepararlo”. Y, en referencia al delantero, opinó: “Su entrega en el último partido fue increíble. Es un jugador importante, por su movilidad, por entrega y su forma de ser. Lo vamos a seguir apoyando porque en esta instancia final los querés tener a todos bien”.
Antes de despedirse, reconoció la falla primordial del equipo y el punto más importante a corregir para “pelear el torneo”. Y, concluyó: “Debemos mejorar en la definición. Nos está costando cerrar los partidos y eso nos puede traer otro dolor de cabeza”.
