River consiguió un triunfazo ante Argentinos Juniors, un rival directo tanto en la Liga Profesional de Fútbol (estaba dos puestos arriba en la tabla de posiciones antes del partido) como en la tabla anual. Una victoria por 3-0 que no reflejó del todo lo que fue el partido por completo, si no que mostró la mejor cara de River, que sucedió en el segundo tiempo luego de los ingresos de los tres goleadores de la noche: Juan Fernando Quintero, Lucas Beltrán y Agustín Palavecino. Tres jugadores que mejoraron el juego del equipo y le dieron frescura a los ataques.
En el primer tiempo el equipo fue todo lo contrario. Un planteo táctico que no lo ayudó en nada a los delanteros (5-2-3) por la falta de volantes de creación como Juafer y Pala. Tuvieron que ingeniárselas como pudieron yendo a buscar la pelota a mitad de cancha y encarar desde el circulo central, o picando en profundidad por la espalda de los defensores. Ninguna de las dos opciones funcionó y terminó con un River con solamente 4 tiros en 45 minutos.
Luego de esta victoria, el conjunto de Marcelo Gallardo no tendrá mucho descanso porque este miércoles, tan solo tres días después, recibirá a partir de las 21:30 horas al Pincharrata por la fecha 23 de la Liga Profesional de Fútbol en busca de estirar su ventaja en la tabla anual. Un partido de suma importancia por lo que significa Estudiantes: un rival complicado que siempre impone su juego sea en la cancha que sea, que complica a River en más de una ocasión y que, además, pelea por entrar a la próxima Copa Libertadores 2023.
