River consiguió un triunfazo ante Argentinos Juniors, un rival directo tanto en la Liga Profesional de Fútbol (estaba dos puestos arriba en la tabla de posiciones antes del partido) como en la tabla anual. Una victoria por 3-0 que no reflejó del todo lo que fue el partido por completo, si no que mostró la mejor cara de River, que sucedió en el segundo tiempo luego de los ingresos de los tres goleadores de la noche: Juan Fernando Quintero, Lucas Beltrán y Agustín Palavecino. Tres jugadores que mejoraron el juego del equipo y le dieron frescura a los ataques.

Un partido de suma importancia por lo que significa Estudiantes: un rival complicado que siempre impone su juego sea en la cancha que sea, que complica a River en más de una ocasión y que, además, pelea por entrar a la próxima Copa Libertadores 2023.
