El partido de Argentina ante México puso nervioso a más de 45 millones de argentinos. A menos de 45 minutos de quedar afuera del Mundial en fase de grupos, apareció Lionel Messi, los cambios riverplatenses (Julián Álvarez, Enzo Fernández y Exequiel Palacios) y el excelentísimo mediocampista Encito que no para de sorprender su gran nivel futbolístico. Un jugador que no tiene techo, que es atrevido, que tiene buena pegada, buen ataque, buena defensa y que maneja los tiempos de la Selección Argentina como si tuviera 70 partidos con esta camiseta cuando solamente tiene 4. Menos de 150 minutos disputados con la Albiceleste para el ex mediocampista de River.
Desde el Mundial 1930 hasta el de Qatar 2022, River es el equipo que más futbolistas le aportó a la Selección Argentina en la historia. Tanto en Copas del Mundo como en Eliminatorias y Copas América. Y esta esta edición no fue la excepción porque a pesar de haber llevado a un solo jugador (Franco Armani), hay seis ex River representando a la Albiceleste en el torneo más importante deportivo más importante del mundo. Y como Enzo Fernández fue uno de los protagonistas del partido ante los Ticos junto a Messi, la cuenta oficial de la FIFA compartió en sus redes sociales oficiales un video de los goles riverplatenses en las Copas del Mundo.

En él, aparecen los dos goles de Ariel Ortega a Jamaica en el 5 a 0 por la fase de grupos del Mundial de Francia, los tantos de Javier Saviola y Hernán Crespo en Alemania 2006 y los goles Gonzalo Higuaín en Sudáfrica 2010 y Brasil 2014. Para finalizar con broche de oro, terminaron el video con el gol de Martín Demichelis, el flamante nuevo entrenador del Millonario, ante Grecia en 2010 y el tremendo golazo de Enzo Fernández a México el sábado pasado.
